About Taipei Ticker
Taipei Ticker (台北行情) is a daily brief on US and Taiwan stocks. Taiwan's tech supply chain is tightly linked to US markets: what US cloud companies spend on data centers becomes orders for TSMC, Hon Hai and Quanta, and Fed decisions drive foreign money in and out of Taiwan stocks. We put both markets in one daily read so you can see how they connect.
What's in each brief
- The Takeaway: the single most important thing about today's market, in one paragraph.
- Key Numbers: major US indexes, Treasury yields, oil and gold, plus Taiwan's TAIEX, the 0050 ETF and the largest stocks, each with a short explanation.
- Six Market Factors: trend, money flows, interest rates, sector concentration, geopolitics and inflation.
- Taiwan Focus: net buying and selling by Taiwan's three major institutional investor groups, and the day's key Taiwan stories.
- US & Global News: the stories that matter and what they mean for each sector.
- US–Taiwan Link: how moves in US markets flow through to Taiwan's industries and stocks.

Two languages, the same content
Every brief is published in English and Traditional Chinese with identical content. The English edition uses the US color convention (green for up, red for down); the Chinese edition follows Taiwan's convention (red for up, green for down). Every number carries its currency or unit, such as pts, NT$ or US$/bbl.
Sources
We take market data from official sources first, such as the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the Taipei Exchange and the Federal Reserve, and add reporting from financial media. Every brief lists all of its sources at the end. News is summarized in our own words with links to the original reports. Closing figures can differ slightly between sources; if you spot an error, please let us know.
